Welcome to

‘How Can We Week’

(every Dec. 1-7!)

We welcome your ideas, and will sometimes offer some of our own, on how to make the world a better place.

What are your thoughts about how to save the Earth? To create peace? How can we do it? This is the site where we can share and learn ways to act upon good ideas.

We live in difficult times for our planet and its people. Let’s offer our best ideas to improve the world. We dedicate every Dec. 1-7 — after Thanksgiving, but before a New Year dawns —- to ‘mindstorming’ about making our planet a better place. But of course, we can think about it any time of the year. Suggestions can be offered all 365 days — not just during a single week.

The idea for this week germinated in the hills just east of Cincinnati, Ohio, after our church’s Creation Care team began exploring ways to take better care of the world where we live. There are many opportunities to take little steps that build over time.

We can enter each new year with greater mindfulness.

If you give us permission to share who you are, email your first name and last name (or last initial if you’re under 18), the city and country where you live, your age, and your idea. If we choose your suggestion, we’ll email you back to let you know. And then we’ll share it with others through this website and an occasional eNewsletter. Feel free to think very large, or very small!

As The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.”

When sending us your idea email, let us know if you’d like to receive a newsletter containing our curated suggestions offered by others.

Ready to share your solutions on ways people can improve their lives, their towns, our world, the future? OK, Go!
